Dicegeeks April Newsletter
April Newsletter
Lots of stuff for you all in this editon of the newsletter. I released a couple of new guides in April. The links to them are below. They are free.
I gathered 10 Dungeon Maps into a PDF. I created seed ideas for them. You can find it below as well. It is free also.
I included custom lightsaber rules I created for my epic Star Wars campaign I am running.
Something I'm really excited about is that I'm redesigning dicegeeks.com. I'm attempting to make it more user friendly and aesthetically pleasing. I think it is coming along nicely. I'm stoked!
I lowered the price on my PDF of 14 original dungeon maps from $1.99 to 99 cents for a limited time. If you'd like to pitch in and help keep the free content coming, check them out: 14 Dungeon Maps
Keep gaming!

8 Sword and Planet Ideas
I added this little PDF as a free download for subscribing, so I'm making sure all current subscribers can get it. It's eight seed ideas to help create sword and planet campaigns.

Sword & Planet: Campaign Guide
I launched my new guide earlier this month. It breaks down the elements in sword and planet fiction to help GM's begin to think about creating campaigns. If you haven't downloaded it yet, please grab it now. Oh, it's free.

Wetlands - Free GM Guide
I created another free terrain guide to help game masters. This one gives ideas and thoughts about wetlands, which I think are incredibly underused in RPGs.
After a couple of requests, I listed the guide as 'Pay What You Want' on DriveThruRPG. Obviously, you can still get it for free.

10 Dungeon Maps with Seed Ideas - Free
More dungeon maps! Here are 10 more of my hand-drawn maps. However, this time I created a few sentences about each one to help you start thinking about how to run them. Enjoy!

Star Wars D6 Lightsaber Rules
I created some custom rules for the epic D6 Star Wars campaign I'm running. I thought I would share them. I know not many people play WEG D6 anymore, but some may find them useful.
Custom Lightsaber Rules
To construct a lightsaber, a character needs both Lightsaber Tech and Lightsaber Repair skills.
A lightsaber can be a 1, 2, or 3 crystal saber. The more crystals the better, and natural crystals are better than man-made ones.
A Minor Jedi's beginning lightsaber is considered a cheap 1 natural crystal saber. (It's still worth more than a million credits.) It CANNOT be expanded. A new saber must be constructed to go to a 2 or 3 gem saber.
The basic materials for a saber cost 300 credits. It's the gems that are the problem.
Man-made gems - 250-750 credits each
Natural gems - 1,000-2,500 credits each
Named gems - ????????
Types of Lightsabers without a Named Gem
1 man-made crystal -1D damage
2 man-made crystal -2 damage
3 man-made crystal -1 damage
1 natural crystal (book standard)
2 natural crystal +1 damage
3 natural crystal +2 damage
Special Named Crystals
Named Gems give special bonuses and CAN be combined. But CANNOT have more than one of each class.
Damage Class
Bondar +1 damage
Damind +2 damage
Eralam +1D damage
Krayt Dragon Pearl +2D damage
Parry Class
Luxum +1 to parry
Nextor +2 to parry
Opila +1D to parry
Strike Class
Rubat +1 to hit
Sapith +2 to hit
Sidirian Flame Gem +1D to hit
