This is the one-year anniversary issue of the dicegeeks newsletter. I can't really believe how much it has grown in that time.
As always, I have exciting projects in the works. I hope to be releasing more RPG resources soon. In the meantime, this issue is packed with goodies.
If you have any questions, ideas, or feedback, please email me at matt@dicegeeks.com.
Keep gaming!

RPG T-Shirts

If there is a design you would like to see, let me know.

Player Tip - Give your Character Goals
Have you ever known an aimless person? Of course, you have. What are some traits they had? Indecisive, critical, uninterested, angry, and boring… does that sound about right?
Well, a character that is aimless can be the same way.
Why are you angry at the poor innkeeper? Why are you disrespecting the mayor? Why do you hate that you are being sent on a secret mission?
It could be because you never created goals for your character. Now, you are scratching and clawing for ways to make your character interesting.
Goals can be specific or vague.
Grakirr wants to find the man who stole his family gem. Lenia wants to see new lands.
What goal should you choose? It really doesn’t matter. The point is to have at least one. What goals do is create a framework for reacting in situations.
This is obvious in real life, so obvious we often forget about it. We all have goals, whether they are positive or negative. Our goals shape our actions.
Without goals, it is difficult to know how your characters will react when confronted with a situation the GM throws at them.
Take some time to create goals for your character. Then during play, use those to determine your character’s behavior.
