Special Announcement and a Free Map - dicegeeks
I'm Starting a Podcast
After taking a deep breath, I decided to start a podcast. I took one radio production class in college, so we'll see how things go.
The concept of the show is that we can become better gamemasters and role-players by filling ourselves with stories and knowledge. To run interesting campaigns, we need to be interesting.
Episodes will feature writers, filmmakers, novelists, professors, RPG creators, gamemasters, and more. We will talk about history, mythology, storytelling, and anything else that is exciting.
I'm busy recording interviews now. A couple guests so far have been:
Matt Forbeck - New York Times Bestselling Author and Award-Winning Tabletop RPG Designer
John Walsh - Award-Winning Filmmaker, Trustee of the Ray and Diana Harryhausen Foundation, and Author of the New Book, Harryhausen: The Lost Movies
The Show Launch
I'm hoping to launch the show next week. However, I reserve the right to push it back a week or two if needed.
But don't worry, I will let you know when you can listen.
Want to be Interviewed?
Are you a game designer or a novelist? Do you have an interesting career or knowledge of a fascinating subject?
If so, just reply to this email. If it seems like a good fit, we'll make it work.
Free Map
A large city map that would work well in any RPG campaign or adventure.
Dicegeeks Update
I love listening to podcasts, but making one is all new to me. Please bear with me as I start this new adventure.
The No-Prep Gamemaster is doing well on DriveThruRPG as is The Book of Random Tables: Quests. I thank everyone who has bought a copy.
Keep Gaming!
Matt
