D&D novels have enjoyed lasting popularity alongside the tabletop role-playing game for decades. At certain points in the game’s history, these novels were actually the biggest money-makers in the business.
Many Dungeons & Dragons novels have even hit the New York Times Bestsellers list. If you haven’t read any yet, here’s a great place to start.

The Quest (1996)
In 1996, I was dying to see this movie. I missed it in the theater because no one I knew wanted to see it, so I waited until VHS. It didn’t blow me away as I hoped it would, but I enjoyed it.
It’s still quite entertaining, and Roger Moore is a legend who adds a dash of class that makes a lot of the movie work. Jean-Claude Van Damme is fine as a first-time director, and his performance is good.
I didn’t know the world needed a period piece remake of Bloodsport, nor did I know it needed audio stingers on a man’s moving pectoral muscles—but now that it’s here, it’s glorious in its own way.
