A little shorter newsletter today, because I’m at Archon. It should be a great weekend of geeky stuff, selling my books, and meeting fellow role-players.
Also, I’ll be giving seven presentations. I’m planning on recording them later and posting them on YouTube. Here are the presentation titles:
Born-Heroes vs. Bootstrap-Heroes - How writers can choose the right type of hero for their stories.
Star Trek: The Next Generation’s Collapse - How seasons 6 and 7 nearly destroyed all that came before them!
Creator Finances - No one really likes to talk about finances, but it's so important to be on top of them. Learn how to position yourself to make a living doing what you love.
Frankenstein Unleashed - An exploration comparing and contrasting themes in the novel and original 1931 film.
Unwrapping the Original Mummy - An examination of the 1932 horror film classic.
Subverting Fan Expectations - The Hollywood writing trend ruining movies and TV shows, why it was latched onto, and when do we think these writers will move on?
Slash Game Master Prep Time - How to cut down the time needed to prepare tabletop role-playing game sessions.
How to Use Random Tables in D&D
YouTube
I’ve been putting more effort into the dicegeeks YouTube channel. I posted a new video this week. You can also see presentations I’ve given at Gen Con Online in the past and 179 episodes of my podcast.
