I had a great time at Archon this past weekend. All my presentations went well. Book sales were strong, which is always a good sign.
As I do every year, I met some incredibly talented artists, writers, and filmmakers. I’m already looking forward to next year and will need to begin planning new presentations.
New Videos
I gave both these presentations at Archon and decided to record them.
What are Born-Heroes and Bootstrap Heroes? Writers need to understand the different types of heroes so they do not get muddled.
No one likes talking about finances, am I right? But we need to, especially if we want to make a living doing what we love.
Sad Note
I just learned that author and longtime role-player Howard Andrew Jones is battling brain cancer. I met Howard several years ago at Archon, where he was purchasing some of my books. I wondered why I didn’t see him there this year, and now I understand why.
Howard is a fantasy author who has written Pathfinder novels as well as books set in his own worlds. He is also the editor of Goodman Games’ Tales from the Magician’s Skull.
You can support Howard’s family by buying his books or giving on a GoFundMe.
I interviewed Howard a couple of times on my podcast:
